IgnusDei's quest to become a successful concept artist began in 1999 with the release of Homeworld by Relic Entertainment. Inspired by the game's art direction and aesthetics, he taught himself how to draw and paint digitally, focusing on industrial mechanical designs. He drew influences Rob Cunningham and Junji Okubo.
His skills earned him a spot on the production team of successful titles such as Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sins of Solar Empire, and the Xenonauts games.
